The old quarter view Hostel is in an excellent location in the middle of the Old Quarter district. I was able to reach many sights on foot and never had any problems finding my way around. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, they even helped me when I had to do the laundry at short notice before departure or when I wanted to do a day trip to Ninh Binh and only got in touch with them the evening before (the day trip was great by the way and I really recommend it!). The beds were clean and the bathroom (I was in the 4 bed only female dorm room) was an absolute highlight.

One of the best backpacker hotels we've stayed at. Beautiful, new, clean, full of pleasant staff and friendly volunteers. We stayed there many times, over 10 nights in total on different occasions. Hanoi was the starting point for many trips and explorations. Rebel Rooster offers different packages (Max organized the Ha Giang Loop and Ha Long Bay tours for us). The breakfast was 10/10. We could choose one dish and one drink from different dishes. The experience of visiting there certainly depends on the other travelers who sometimes snore, come to the room at night, keep the nightlight on or talk on the phone. We came across different travelers and some nights we didn't sleep well, but we can't blame the hotel and the staff for that, because they ask their guests to be considerate of others. The hotel is located in the very center (there are museums, attractions, a shopping center, grocery stores, restaurants and cafes nearby). We never had to order a taxi, because indeed, everything is very close.

Big spacious room w/ elevator, quite place (I slept well at night). Good breakfast ala carte with coffee or tea & fruit. They clean the room & change towel every day, a few steps to Hoan Kiem Lake, grocery store, ATM, 3-5 minutes walk to St Joseph Cathedral, Uniqlo Hoan Kiem & more. Awesome staff very friendly & helpful. Safe place to stay.
