I liked everythings , the staff is amazing and the property was very clean. They know how to put you at ease and you will feel at home. Every morning you can have breakfast outside and every evening you can join guests and staffs for night activities. This place is close to all the points of interest in the city. The beds and room were very comfortable, the staff was fantastic and very helpful. There was information about things to do in Chiang Rai, how to get there, and easy booking for the slow boat. Breakfast was great and there was fruit and nice tea available all day. Would recommend to anyone coming to Chiang Mai!

Absolutely loved our stay here at Backpack Hostel. First of all, it's a perfect location - 2 minutes walk from where our bus arrived. And literally around the corner from the night market. Ness was very helpful and welcoming. He really takes care of us. And also organized us on a slow boat ticket to Laos which was very smooth. The rooms are clean and have powerful air conditioning. The rooftop is also a great spot to sit and have a drink while watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend.

The owner of this guest house, Rung is lovely and extremely helpful. She is always caring about the guests. We stayed with our 5 months-old son, and felt very comfortable. She gave us advices on what we should see, offered us coffee/fruits everyday. We enjoyed having breakfast at the terrace. Stayed here for 6 days and wish we could stay longer. Highly recommend to stay here!

The hostel is less than a minute from the bus terminal which makes it incredibly convenient to get to. It’s also close to a lot of things such as convenience stores, currency exchanges, cafes, and markets. The hostel itself is really clean and comfortable. It also felt very secure. The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful! There are some free snacks, as well as tea and coffee! There is also a washing machine; you can hang your clothes up to dry on the rooftop.

The staff were amazing with the smile,the recommendations and the guy even went beyond his job and drove me to the terminal so i dont have to walk with my bags! The place itself is really good,one of the best hostels ive been in facilities wise Plus there is a worker(at night a security guard) almost 24/7 which is really convenient!

The best hostel I stayed in during my trip. the design is beautiful, the place is extremely clean, it’s less than a minute from the bus station. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely, trusting and took great care of me. I loved that there are laundry facilities and a cute kitchen and hang out area. I always felt my stuff was safe. Note that there are strict house rules. The hostel also offered some very comprehensive tours of Chiang Mai’s attractions

great location next to the bus terminal. safety is in place as door access card is required to enter the hostel.

Amazing little hostel so clean comfy and safe, great location near bus station so easy to get anywhere and the staff were fantastic!

Great location near bus station and walking street. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Hostel very laidback and has a reggae bar feel to it. No beer sold here but 7/11 round corner. Weed available too. Would recommend. Stopped in dormitory for 3 nights.
