So clean, got complimentary snacks (biscuits, fruit, crisps, water), bed very comfortable, room very spacious, breakfast included, there's a pool table, tennis table, dipping pool, great air con, we had a couch, TV, fridge, mini kitchen, and a balcony! Absolutely loved our stay here at Backpack Hostel. First of all, it's a perfect location - 2 minutes walk from where our bus arrived. And literally around the corner from the night market. Ness was very helpful and welcoming. He really takes care of us. And also organized us on a slow boat ticket to Laos which was very smooth. The rooms are clean and have powerful air conditioning. The rooftop is also a great spot to sit and have a drink while watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend.

The owner of this guest house, Rung is lovely and extremely helpful. She is always caring about the guests. We stayed with our 5 months-old son, and felt very comfortable. She gave us advices on what we should see, offered us coffee/fruits everyday. We enjoyed having breakfast at the terrace. Stayed here for 6 days and wish we could stay longer. Highly recommend to stay here!

I chose this hostel hoping to meet some people after being alone in my previous hostel (low season) and it didn't disappoint! The staff (international) was amazing. There is a pool table, everyone uses grab to order food at the big table in the garden, they organize games etc, so everything is made to connect people which is the best part about traveling. This hostel is just perfect for backpackers. You can rend scooters, they give you recommandations about activities. I was supposed to stay one night but I decided to extend. Toilet and showers are outside of the room which is great. There is free water. The surrounding is great and Blue Temple and Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1 are close.

Really clean room, comfortable bed and a good size for the private room. Cotton pads, q-tips, shower cap, toothbrush and toothpaste available for the whole stay. Hairdryer and enough toilet-paper. Washing and drying-machine available for a cheap price, lovely patio on the third floor. Old wooden floors greatly maintained, super nice ambience. The staff is really accommodating and kind.

The staff were amazing with the smile,the recommendations and the guy even went beyond his job and drove me to the terminal so i dont have to walk with my bags! The place itself is really good,one of the best hostels ive been in facilities wise Plus there is a worker(at night a security guard) almost 24/7 which is really convenient!

The best hostel I stayed in during my trip. the design is beautiful, the place is extremely clean, it’s less than a minute from the bus station. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely, trusting and took great care of me. I loved that there are laundry facilities and a cute kitchen and hang out area. I always felt my stuff was safe. Note that there are strict house rules. The hostel also offered some very comprehensive tours of Chiang Mai’s attractions
