A very beautiful place in an authentic small village with a nice view. The owner is super friendly and the food wonderful. The breakfast is lovely too 🥰 The rooms are big and clean. All you need is here. I wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

The property located in a small village near the mountains. The big fire-tree full of lights was inviting us, when we arrived in the dark. Our room was on the second floor. There is the beautiful kitchen where we had a breakfast in the morning. Nothing special, but everything needed. The staff is very friendly, so we enjoyed our stay.

The place is wonderful. Great localisation, but also kind and helpful personell, clean and nice rooms, usefull common space. And even breakfast in the price.

We stayed in the studio apt- right in the old town. Many buildings close by had gorgeous architecture. Perfect location. Apt has all modern features (lovely kitchen nook, amazing shower) and is a delightful space to be in. Many welcoming touches such as jug of water waiting for us as well as apples and oranges. I would give a 12 out of 10 if possible!

Location is simply perfect. It is 1 minute by the old city center, 6-10 minutes by the university, 10 minutes by the castle. Everything was super clean and forniture is modern and beautiful. We haven't actually tried the breakfast (you can book it the evening before), but seeing the others it is a reach breakfast for low price. I worked remotely from the hostel and passed almost all the day there, and I really felt at home

If there are no bed bugs in the room it’s all good.

I have stayed in a number of hostels, and I must say that my experience at HI Braga - Pousada de Juventude tops them all. Its about 15 mins away from the bus terminal on foot and is located opposite a tall and long yellow building. My first impression of the hostel was that it certainly didn’t look or feel like one. The serenity that greeted me when I entered, made me feel like I had entered the reception of a trendy and cool co-working space. The hostel is really big on the Sustainable Development Goals, and if you have zero knowledge about the SDGs, you’ll get to see a lot of things that educate you about it. The bins placed in the rooms and around the hostel all had color coded compartments that help you recycle waste properly, and even the bathrooms had friendly reminders about water usage. The rooms were very neat and spacious enough for a hostel room. My room had 4 bunks that were splint into 2 different compartments and a bathroom and toilet for the 8 occupants to share. Each bed had a charging port for a 2-pin charger and a usb port. When I checked in, I was given a key card, a key to my locker and a meal ticket for breakfast the next morning. The locker had a blanket, 1 large towel and 2 smaller towels in it. The hostel has several places to sit and relax. The lobby downstairs, the common room upstairs and a sit out area upstairs. There are also rest rooms located near the lobby and the common room. The common room has a vending machine for coffee and another for snacks and drinks/water, and a kitchen with a microwave and fridge. The lobby and common room also had interactive screens where you can look at places to visit in the city, create an itinerary and send to your phone. You can also choose to get a map of the city from the reception. I was really impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hostel and the facilities there and I know that I’ll definitely lodge there again when next I’m in Braga.
