The hostel’s interior design was beautiful and very creative. I found my room and the shared bathroom sparkling clean. The location is very convenient: right in the city centre but very quiet, 5min walk from the train station and 15min walk up to the famous castle. The hostel offered a complimentary continental breakfast. The staff was very, very friendly and helpful. Will come back to this charming hostel!

What a beautiful place to stay- great location, 5 minute walk to train/ bus station and an extremely friendly and helpful host who told us all about the city and what to see, where to eat etc.

Great location, very quiet, very clean, great finishings. The room was spacious, the bathroom was even more spacious, there was a hairdryer (my partner says that's important) and a good shared kitchen and sitting room.

The facility is a youth hostel but we had a private room with ensuite bathroom and the whole facility to ourselves! We based ourselves in Tancos (a pretty town overlooking the river) to visit the stunning Knights Templar Almourol Castle. The facility is close to the railway station and an easy walk (about 1km) to the Castle along the River scenic walk. Ideal for our purposes. We enjoyed a drink at the bar next door. The all male patrons made us very welcome. We loved our time at Albergue da Juventude and would highly recommend it.
