Hostel do Mar turned out to be a great place to stay. Upon entering there is a small reception area with a very helpful Diego. In my dorm there were three sets of bunks and a single bed. Every guest had a bedside lamp, locker, power sockets and towel. Bathrooms were very clean and there was also a place where one can hand wash clothes. On the upper level there was a fully equipped kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, a roof terrace and a lounge area with sofas.

First of all the staff. I had the pleasure of meeting Paula from Poland and Natalia from Brazil. They were ever so helpful and welcoming. The place, although geared mostly for surfers, is amazing. There is a certain vibe which makes one feel relaxed and friendly. There is everything one needs. My room had a desk, chair, closet, bedside tables with lamps, a tall mirror and towels. On the ground floor you have the reception, kitchen, more rooms, an outside area with hammocks, sofas, tables, a bar and sometimes music in the evenings.

A beautiful place in an amazing town!! One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Great people, facilities and a great vibe. Beds were comfy and the hostel was quiet enough at night to get a good sleep too. The facilities/ bathrooms were all kept clean and staff were always on hand if I had any questions. Would definitely stay here again if I am back in Sagres.

My stay at this hostel was simply incredible. The atmosphere was vibrant and cosy, which made meeting new people a fantastic experience. The cleanliness in all areas of the hostel guaranteed a comfortable and healthy atmosphere. The facilities were very well equipped, from the large common areas to the comfortable and well-designed rooms!

The lighthouse is a really chill place with a lot of a vibe! Also the equipment they have is really good (kitchen/ cheap surf rental) and nice staff !! :) I would definitely recommend to stay there!! For me it was probably one of the best hostels I stayed in, in a while :) It’s not bad, but I would recommend having more hooks in the bathroom because otherwise you can’t really hang your towel/clothes anywhere…
