My friend and I had the best trip we ever had, for real. Everybody was so kind and welcoming to us. The manager Roger and Rubens are the best. People from everywhere are coming here and that’s amazing, you can learn a lot of things. Oh and there’s Chico, the cutest dog in the world.

A very nice energy at this place, everyone felt like family. The dorms were cute and comfortable. It is a bit of distance into town, but walkable and it’s nice to get out of the business of it as well. The kitchen was great, the common areas both inside and outside were nice as well. The surf lesson I booked was great, with a lot of helpful advice and a great experience all over. The joint barbecue was a fantastic way to get to know people and such a good way to end the day. Would definitely book again if I come back to Cascais.

Carcavelos Surf Hostel is an excellent place to stay! It is in a great location: a short walk to the beach, grocery, cafes, and 10-minutes to the metro. Everyone working there made my son (17) and I feel welcome, including the owner, Jose. We have stayed in many hostels across multiple countries and CSH is very safe, affordable, and well maintained.
