Hostels in Loiza

I loved the location! Easy to walk to coffee shops, restaurants and the beach. The Inn was generally quiet with plenty of common spaces to hang out. Lockboxes make check-in/check-out easy.

Very nice clean and comfortable hostel in a very central location. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The shared rooms could be even better with some privacy curtains though but overall I'd be happy to stay again.

Probably the best of the bunch, it's a bit out of the way but you can catch a free bus over the road into San Juan, and to the airport (#5), lovely pool, comfortable beds, clean areas, friendly staff, WiFi, there's a bar next door that i didn't try but looks cool, you can bring in and store your own drinks in the kitchen.

The location was in the heart of Old San Juan and there was a volunteer—who actually also functioned as part of the staff since the reception wasn't manned 24/7—cleaning the place everyday. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions already being lifted, surprisingly there were only a handful of guests when I was there. In my four nights I only had one roommate for two nights in the four-bed room I was assigned to. Another guy had another room all to himself throughout his stay, something very unusual for a hostel in a very good location. I think the place was pretty and modern and vintage-looking at the same time, thanks to the black and white floor, white walls, huge doors, and high ceiling. While the kitchen was very minimal, the common area was super homey for me. I was actually working remotely during my stay and had to start working past midnight; the well-positioned table kept me focused and the TV and wide sofa provided comfort when I needed to take a break (okay, a nap as well). I don't remember seeing air-conditioning controls in the room so it was centralized and was turned on day and night—much needed given how humid San Juan is. Lockers were big and each bed had a lamp. There was a bar just below the hostel, although I failed to grab a drink there. Boo.

Everything was amazing! Friendly staff, secure room, good locker (bring your own lock), clean facilities. The Sunday cookout and DJ party was a lot of fun.

Beach close by. Easy bus route direct from airport to doorstep. Bus om hostel to old town. Restaurants close. Great rooftop.

Amazing place with a relaxed vibe. The staff are some of the nicest people I’ve met. Made my stay unforgettable!
