We felt very well taken care of by the kind staff and owner. The kind hospitality really makes all the difference and way exceeded our expectations at this price range. There were some issues that were addressed by the kind staff right away and we felt welcomed and good there. The shared space was very nice to chill at and the area was quiet at night. They also own a cheap well equipped jungle gym short walk away, which made our stay in Port Barton really nice. They have staff onsite helping with booking etc…

We loved staying at Backpacker's hill! Our host was so friendly and helpful with good recommendations and booking tours/trips. I loved that it was a bit further away from the main tourist zone, making it a more peaceful and authentic place to stay. It was really easy and pleasant to walk into the main area to see all the sights (about 10-15 min). the location is stunning! A wonderful stay in Port Barton.

Love this place, we only wish we spent more time in Sam Vicente, it’s a small township and beautiful, much better than port Barton and el Nido. Minimal tourists which is what we a looking for here. We will return and hopefully Ivan is still running this place. He’s such a nice guy who will accomodate everything to make you feel comfortable. We took our bike for a morning drive on long beach. It was incredible the scenery here is amazing.

I really liked the brand new super quiet air conditioner. I also liked the second floor balcony suites which all had sunset views. I also that it was far enough away from the celebrations in the center of town to be able sleep well.

Facilities were amazing, loved having hammocks and a pool table. Bathrooms were clean enough and rooms were well maintained.

I must say that the staff there is truly friendly and pleasant! They organized amazing trips for me, and the communication via WhatsApp was incredibly convenient. The hostel is well-maintained, clean, fresh, and in a great location. Small but friendly. Highly recommended!
