Little cute chalets, with amazing views. Loving the concept of a central house with a living room, kitchen (surprisingly clean) as a place to hang out. We were with kids, but most others are young people or solo travellers.

Set in park-like grounds on the shores of Lake Te Anau, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers has both mountain and lake views from the majority of the rooms.

loved our semi private room. It was like a suite with 2 bedroom. Location was right by lake and walkable to main street. 5 minute walk to glow worm boat launch.

This was a really good place. Henry was very friendly and helped me very good with whatever needed. Got me also the best deal for the too sound cruises. They try to make it a home and not just a camping.
