When I arrived I was tired and hungry because of my itinerary and no food on the flight. Rex, the owner, graciously cooked me a delicious meal and never charged for it! I was saved from going to sleep hungry. Julieta is always charming, knowledgable and informative with any questions. I will be using Hostal Julieta in the future whenever I need to pass through Rivas for my flights or visa runs.

It was a pleasure to stay in ruamoko. Trent the boss is a very caring and nice person. The breakfast is really the best we had in nicaragua so far.

We felt totally safe and enjoyed that it was a 4-5 minute walk to Playa Marsella. Playa Maderas was an 8 - 10 minute motorcycle ride and there were 3 or 4 more restaurants to choose from as well as options for surf board rentals and lessons.

Cocos Hostel has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Moyogalpa. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service.

All the way around the views were stunning, the room was spotless and well appointed, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the food was delicious. The vibe was of complete relaxation and rejuvenation and the sunset was absolutely stunning. Couldn’t ask for a better place for a couple’s getaway.

This hostel was my favorite during my time in Nicaragua! The staff and volunteers were super nice. The common areas are really nice, relaxing and good for meeting people and hanging out at night. They organize daily events making it easier to meet people as a solo traveler. Options for surfing were easily available as well.

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!
