loved everything! such a lovely and idyllic little paradise. I felt at home and at ease the moment I set foot in this place. every single one of the staff at El Pital is so welcoming and friendly and simply a joy to be around. - you made my stay here that much more happy! special shout-out to Danibeth, Junior, Angel and Ashley! the Yoga classes in the mornings were the best I’ve had on my trip so far and the cacao ceremony with Mia was absolutely fantastic! I’ve also done the cacao tour, which I can highly recommend. - Justin is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about cacao, which made it the most entertaining, in-depth and eye open tour I’ve been on. we were all just hanging on Justin‘s lips and didn’t realise how the hours past. Shout out to the ladies and gentlemen in the little chocolate factory who bring all the cacao magic to life!

The friendly staff, the bar atmosphere and the good food. I also love the pod beds with privacy curtains and they actually provide a USBC cable in the beds which was helpful because I left my charger in the last hostel I stay in!

The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

This was one of the best hostels in all of my travels around Nicaragua. Daniela and Tony are the kindest, warmest, most considerate hosts ever. I would go back just to meet them and spend time with them. The property is tranquil, right by the lake (one can watch amazing sunsets just stepping out of the ranch). It is a short walk from the Moyogalpa ferry point. The area is super safe, I had no problems reaching the property way past sunset the first night. The ranch property in itself is beautiful - a lot of thought put into it. It is a paradise with so many trees, plants, flowers and animals and cool aesthetics. Daniela's breakfast is the best I had in Nicaragua. You simply cannot miss it! The dorm is spacious, clean, beds are comfortable. There are areas to sit out and hammocks to relax. Highly highly recommend!

Everything was perfect! The place was super clean, the breakfast delicious and the staff it’s awesome, very friendly and kind, they really make you feel home. I booked for one night at first but I ended up spending there three more nights! If I’ll be in Ometepe again I will definitely stay there!
