This is by far best hostel I have ever stayed at! It feels more like a home than a hostel, this is down to the staff, they make you feel part of their community. I honestly don’t have a bad word to say - it was super special - I just wish I stayed for longer!! Amazing places to chill, good beds, incredible kit eh and beautiful doggy!

We absolutely loved our stay here at Ukayil, the room was MASSIVE and very comfortable with all amenities you need, even a coffee maker, plates and cutlery. The A/C was amazing, the room is decorated nice, check-in was a breeze with little lock-boxes to collect keys after hours. The bathroom and shower were very good too and there was lots of space to hang clothes inside and also a washing line outside too. The location was quite good too, it's about 15 minutes to walk into the centre from here, which is not bad, and you definitely don't need a taxi to the centre or to the boat jetties or free municipal swimming area - they are all walkable. But it may be a bit far for some - but taxis are cheap if you need them. The taxi to the ADO station from here was ~mx$40. The host was also very helpful and nice, bringing us blankets when we first checked in, and then helping us arrange a taxi to the ADO station to leave on the last day. Overall, this property is probably the best value for money place we've stayed in this whole trip through Mexico, given the comfort and size of the room, walking distance to centre and great price, we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. Thanks for having us!!

This hotel was so, so nice! Staff was super nice and helpful, the atmosphere was great and we had a great time. Also, very nice location! Short walk to the center and just a few meters to the lagoon. Breakfast was simple but good! We stayed in a private room that was very comfortable and I always appreciate having a private bathroom. It was three of us but there is a lot of space so we didn't feel crammed.

Our stay at Pata del Perro in Bacalar was exceptional. The central location served as a convenient starting point for our explorations, and the option to rent quality bikes from the hotel added to the experience. The cleanliness of the facilities, including the spacious kitchen and common areas with ample tables, made it a comfortable place to work and prepare meals. The room offered great value for the price. Overall, Pata del Perro provided a fantastic base for our Bacalar adventures.
