I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this hostel was, the staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable and the room was spacious and bright, shared bathroom was always in good condition. The bed was so so comfortable, the most comfortable bed we had in 3 weeks of the Baltics. Location is perfect for accessing the old town as well as transport.

Fantastic location. Right on the old square and only 10-15 minute walk from bus or train station which is ideal for day trips to Kemeri, Jurmala, Sigulda. Each bed has its own pod with reading light, 1 socket and a curtain. The staff were very friendly and check in procedure was clear. They are only at reception between 10-5 though but they can answer any questions via booking’s messenger service. They did this very quickly for me! Some reviewers complain about it being too noisy or loud. If you book a dorm that has “inner courtyard” view it’s quiet and doesn’t face the loud square! I stayed in a 10 bed en suite dorm and had a great sleep. Finally, the kitchen was always clean.

The staff was friendly, you can leave your luggage. we left it in the morning and picked it late night without additional costs as we had a late night flight. The breakfast is self service and you can make yourself whatever you want.

I recommend this place if you are young and Like to make new friends, I was there during the weekend and the hostel made an event to go to drink and dance, it was so fun so I would definitely go there again. Also it's very close to a shopping mall and other famous attractions.

It is a nice and clean place. It is quiet at night and comfortable to sleep. Close to the center. People there are friendly and they communicate fast with anything you need. Everyone we interacted with was speaking English.
