I had such a great stay at 234 Weligama. The place is right on the beach, super clean, and really comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and helpful — especially Anura, who made me feel very welcome. The food was amazing too, with authentic Sri Lankan dishes that were full of flavor. Perfect spot to relax, enjoy the beach, and experience real local hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again!

Host was lovely and accommodating. with AC n hot water!! Nice balcony, lots of places to relaxing area , i love wellness studio doing yoga n roof top is amazing for yoga!! I do not usually like hostels but I loved this one, you feel safe and comfy! Great value for money. There is also good beach name is Jungle beach 5 minutes down the road. Not too far from centre. Love it !!!

I want to say big thanks for time that i spent in Vagabond! Clean beautiful rooms, friendly staff, amazing workplace, yoga classes and vegan food in restaurant, mmm! It was very comfortable to stay here and spent time together with my roommates. Place for yoga and meditation looks fantastic especially in evening. Special huge thanks for Sean's music playlist, it always makes special atmosphere during a day :-) i'll come back one day with a great pleasure.

The Salty House is in a very good location for Welingama: beach, good restaurants and the supermarket closeby, even though the house is is a quiet street, to avoid the main road noise. There is a common kitchen (with everything and well maintened and clean!) to cook something in case once you are fed up of rice and curry! ;) The room was as I expected: there was soap, shampoo and bath gel, AC and ventilation, towels and a perch to hang clothes. Veronika is an incredible host: always ready to help, available to assist and very friendly! Thanks for the hospitality, as you know, I would have stayed longer ;)

The hostel is a hidden gem!! It's located a bit outside of the hustle and bustle of Weligama, which makes it the perfect place. Initially, I booked one night but ended up staying for a week. If I didn't have my flight, I would have definitely stayed longer. The hostel is super new, clean, the vibe is amazing and you immediately feel like home. The outside area is perfect for some yoga, workout or meditation. The common area is amazing to chill with others, play some carrom and enjoy some guitar jams together. Ishan and his father are amazing hosts and do anything in their power for guests to have a great stay. You get a towel for free, there is a laundry service, you can rent a bicycle, scooter, have breakfast, lunch and dinner, order fresh juices, great coffee or cocktails for a good price. Ishan also organizes social activities like dinners for everyone, karaoke and bar nights and so much more. The beds are really comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms very clean. Upstairs, there is a huge terrace where you can hang your wet clothes, take a sunbath or just relax. There are also big lockers available and the wifi is super good. The beach is near the hostel, you can surf, relax and watch the sunset there. So, if you're visiting Weligama, this is your place to be! Thanks for everything, Ishan!
