Our New Year's trip was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the warm welcome we received from the staff at "The Hostel. From the moment we arrived, Manager "Mangeew" made us feel right at home, providing us with fantastic recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The staff's friendliness and excellent service stood out, making our stay truly enjoyable. The property caters to both solo adventurers and group travelers, offering a vibrant Hostel Vibe. Due to its popularity in the area, it's advisable to book in advance, as securing consecutive days might be a bit challenging. The prices were reasonable, with options for both AC and non-AC rooms. For those eager to explore the surroundings, the property provides affordable bike rentals, a fantastic way to navigate the area. However, the nearby beaches are also within walking distance, making it convenient for those who prefer a leisurely stroll. Overall, our experience at The Hostel was delightful, and we highly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices, and convenient options for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Great Wi Fi - really reliable network to work. Spend there 2 weeks doing home office and it was excellent. The facility is very clean, great pool, yoga classes, very social atmosphere and a lot of space. Perhaps the best hostel I've ever stayed in.

So I cannot really evaluate this particular hostel because they made a mistake during my booking, so instead of a bed in a dormitory I got a whole room in a different hotel. It was actually the best room I’ve slept in Sri Lanka and I had like 10 different accommodations. BUT it was so nice in Cotels Mirissa inside, there was AC, I also had a breakfast there which was really nice. Staff was super helpful and friendly and it really managed this whole situation.

The accommodation is perfectly located, in walking distance to Mirissa beach & secret beach and not far from Weligama beach either (15 mins via tuk tuk). Hence, perfectly located for all surfing schools/board rentals in this area. The host is very friendly: He offered rides to ATM/restaurants as well. Apart from that, he gave many valuable tips & insights about the everyday life of locals in Mirissa.

I had an incredible experience at Tides! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home from the start. The accommodation was affordable yet very comfortable, with clean and well-maintained rooms equipped with air conditioning—perfect for a relaxing stay. The highlight was the breathtaking beach view and the stunning sunsets, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind. The food was just as impressive! Every meal I had was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. From local specialties to international dishes, everything was cooked to perfection. Enjoying a great meal while overlooking the ocean made the experience even better. If you're looking for a perfect getaway with amazing service, beautiful views, and fantastic food, Tides is the place to be. I’ll definitely be returning!
