Best hostel in South Sri Lanka, it became my home for 2 months… the vibe, the people you can meet, the chilling and common areas are amazing! Also the restaurant & cafe is the best place to eat for sure! Great portions and food made with love and good ingredients. The avocado deluxe toast and smoothies are wow! Totally recommend it.

The Well is the best place to stay in Ahangama! Super clean, perfectly located, comfy beds (with curtains!) and the dreamiest little pool. Plus the yoga shala is so good! Highly recommend it for your next trip! You'll want to stay forever!

Exceptionally good hostel. Really clean and great quality furniture/fittings. The manager and staff were very friendly and hospitable - Manjeve was very generous with sharing meals and providing his company during the days he is there. Really fun vibe at the hostel. Kept clean despite people bringing in sand from the beach constantly. Priced appropriately for the high quality I was their last guest of 2024 and had an exceptional new year's eve thanks to the host's hospitality and wonderful people I met at the hostel. Ended up spending 3 nights in Mirissa!

This place is amazing, such cool vibe and design. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. Helping move my luggage and store it after check out while I surfed. Greeted me everyday with a smile. 24/7 security so very safe and you can leave your room key with them while you surf. A short walk away from the 2 best surf spots in the area and plenty of good bars cafes and restaurants. There are kitchen facilities and a great space to work and chill by the pool. The only negative reviews I read were about noise but I honestly thought it was fine! I was in the room closest to the road and it quietens down at night. And regarding the train it is only occasional, but you can hear it everywhere in the area..

JJ's is one of the best hostels I have stayed at. It has the perfect balance between social vibes and comfort. J has created a great space for interaction at the same time as emphasizing on comfort for backpackers who need a space to ground for a bit and have all the facilities of a home away from home. You know the details you always think about having if you ever started your own hostel? To me so many of them were there. The curtains for the bed, the tiny shelf by the bed, reading lamp, racks in the room to hang up clothes and wet towels. And cats. I love the cats.

Very convenient location. Close to the supermarket and beach. There's a cool rooftop to chill in the evening and a kitchen area to prepare food. They do provide breakfast if you request for 3.5 dollars. The breakfast was really worth.
