After being at this place for 1 night , I just feel oh god can I stay here for a few more days . This place has a vibe . I wish if I could give a 10 star rating for the host too . Been on a backpacking trip in Srilanka for a week till now . As far as I have seen this is the best value for money dorm I have been in . Hopefully I'll come back here soon

My stay at Diamond Shine Hostel was an absolutely wonderful experience. What I liked most about this property was the exceptional hospitality and boundless cooperation I received from the owners. They made me feel truly welcome, even offering tea and coffee, which was a lovely gesture. A situation arose where I forgot my power bank in a taxi, and they went above and beyond to help me contact the taxi driver and retrieve it. They even took me in their own car to assist with this matter. Mr. Mahesh was incredibly respectful and kind, as were his daughter and wife. Their entire family made me feel right at home, and I received nothing but kindness and wonderful treatment from them. In short: A fantastic place with incredibly hospitable staff and family, always ready to help with respect and kindness, and thoughtful touches like offering tea and coffee. I highly recommend this place!

A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard.

Excellent hotel – we were very satisfied. The value for money is outstanding. Everything is spotlessly clean, and both the room and the bathroom are spacious and very comfortable. The hosts are wonderful and incredibly kind. We asked for an early breakfast before the usual time because of our trip the next day, and they immediately agreed. They prepared a delicious, generous breakfast exactly on time. We highly recommend this place.

The place is located in a really nice house. The hosts are living in the next building. The living and garden are really beautiful. The family who runs the hostel is really nice and polite. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner (not included on the booking. It's a beautiful place if you want to spend a chill time. Consider you should take a 30 min Bus till you reach Kandy downtown.

The value you get in this property is the best so far I've had for a hostel/dorm. It came with free breakfast and dinner! It had hot water, AC and free towels. Although the facility itself is not "vibey", it is clean and comfortable located in a safe and pretty accessible from the main area/city center. You also do get to meet other people as dinner and breakfast are served along with other guests.

Very clean & nice accommodation in a good location close to the railway station :) As a female solo-traveller I felt super safe. The hostel has a cute rooftop & the bathroom is amazing. The owners are super nice & friendly, help where they can & even took care of my staff whilst I was travelling the country. Definitely recommend it!

I have no hesitation in saying this - it is the best hostel to stay if you’re in Kandy! Very social, aforable doggos, value for money, lovely hosts and great location. I would go back again and again!
