A great hostel, large rooms, cozy, lots of greenery and communal spaces, although not many people were there during my stay. Huge kitchen and dining area, washing machine, even tea and coffee (tea was really nice). Each dorm bed had an individual fan which was enough to keep cool, and showers had hot water. Only a short (10 min) bus ride to Galle Fort and the bus stop is very close. During my day trip to Galle Fort there was a huge thunderstorm and when I returned to the hostel, I found my laundry that had been drying outside brought in from the rain by the staff, so kind! There was also a donation/trade box for clothes people no longer wanted, which I found a very cool idea as thrift stores don't seem to be popular in Sri Lanka, and there's often need to make space in your backpack.

Really nice and relaxing place, right on the beach front. The staff is great, attentive and always ready to help. I liked the place so much that i extended my stay twice. If you are heading to Galle in my opinion its much better to stay in this part then in the City. Big thanks to all the crew especially to Krish he is a great Chef. Ne

Excellent location next to bus and train stations. Staff were very nice, very friendly, chatty and helpful. Room was brand new; very clean and comfortable. Bar serves great meals.

I stayed at Pinidu's hostel for a total of 4 nights. It is easily among the best hostel experiences I have ever had (having stayed at more than 40 in the past few years...). The room/bed/bathroom is spotless. The hosts are extremely attentive to detail- gave me tour of the garden and recommendations about where to visit. Above all, I must say that Pinidu is an exceptional human being. After I left the hostel, I had a medical emergency and contacted him for advice. He exchanged with people he knew and sent a friend to the hospital to personally make an appointment for me as I returned to the city. I stayed again at his place for two more nights while I did more tests, during which he was extremely supportive and sought to help me be comfortable. I cannot recommend this place enough. Especially for people who like a calm environment in nature. Peace from Canada <3

It's a shame how far away from Galle this place is. Incredible staff, great food and the place has a great vibe in general. Not a lot of people, so you can have a relaxing time at one of their cabanas or just literally cross the road be at the beach enjoying sunset. Highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay. Room was nice and big, had a garden view. Bathroom was nice. Hot water available. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The dog is very cute too. It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station. Tuktuk costs about 200 lkr.

The owners were super friendly. They offered inexpensive laundry services too which I was able to use. They also turned on the AC for the night so the sleep was super comfy. The internet connection isn't the best though but I still managed to work.

Well set in Galle, The Fort Library Hostel provides an Asian breakfast and free WiFi.

The hostel was immaculate, the air con was nice and strong and most importantly the owner was incredible. A group of us quickly became friends and whenever we needed anything the owner went out of his way to help us. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him. What a hidden gem in a beautiful area. As a woman, I felt very safe and the owners also take into account measures to explicitly make female traveller's feel safe. I can't reccomend this place enough!
