It's a dream! The view here is incredible. Dreamville is nestled in the mountains, so you have a perfect view of the landscapes of Ella, including a gorgeous waterfall. You wake up to absolute serenity, and the property has lots of places to just chill out and enjoy the view. The beds are kind of open air, which I loved because you can draw the curtain in the morning and you're immediately greeted by this unbelievable view. The temperature is perfect too - Ella is never cold or hot, so the blanket that Dreamville provides is perfect for nighttime. Beds are super comfy! Breakfast was lovely as well, and you eat on the terrace that overlooks the whole property. Sham, the owner, is so lovely and did everything she could to make my stay wonderful, including calling tuktuks for me in the middle of the night! The only thing I'll note is that the place is about 30 minutes outside of Ella on a very bumpy tuktuk ride. I loved being away from the main part of Ella, but you might want to factor in some extra time and cost for travel (costs are minimal, about 2000 SLR one-way into town). The wifi works really well, but doesn't quite reach the bunks, so you'll probably want to use it in one of the common spaces. My only regret is not staying longer and spending more time hanging around Dreamville!

I absolutely loved this hostel, its location is so peaceful and I spent most of my days just watching the rice paddy workers and hanging out. So much nicer than being in Ella itself and the walk in was beautiful, definitely worth the slight inconvenience. Also free breakfast and dinner! Allowed you to do own laundry for 200 rupees only.

Super welcoming host - I was offered a cup of tea at arrival :-) and several times during my stay. New hostels - all very functional, nice, clean and tidy. Very good location. The provided towels are really good!! (I experienced no towel or really old one in other hostels). Central without being in the middle of the noisy pubs/night clubs… Definitely recommend!

Very nice place surrounded by nature and birds far away from the bustling city center of Ella. I would recommend this place for people that are looking for nature and are coming here for hiking as the property is really close to multiple trails. The owner will also provide a pretty nice breakfast and lunch/dinner when you don’t feel like going out which will be absolutely delicious and worth it.
