I really enjoyed my stay. The owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. The owner organizes trips to the surrounding sights at fair prices. The food is delicious. There are very good storage and locking options for valuables and backpacks in the room. You can also use the pool from the hotel.

If you're looking for an authentic Sri lankan experience and wanna be treated more as a friend rather than a guest, choose Jungle Host Hostel. Chooti and Diva - the hosts, took good care of me and showed me some secret places around. We had so much fun spotting elephants at night, watching plenty of sunsets and sunrises. I think I also learned a lot about the Sinhala culture cause it was a bit like a Couchsurfing experience. I met some great travellers in the hostel! It was definitely my best stay in Sri Lanka and I'm grateful for that. The rooms are also very nice and clean.

I highly recommend this hostel! The hosts were so nice, very helpful, full of good recommandations. I would come back here anytime and for a few more days because it was so nice. Felt like home with this lovely family! The food was also very good and we were able to see how to make a curry with the host which was really fun :)

I spent 2 nights at Elegant elephant and i really enjoyed the place. It's quite, surrounded by nature and the view of the rock from the room is really nice in the morning. The whole place is clean and well maintained. Beds in the room are really comfortable, one of the most comfortable beds in Sri Lanka for me. Owners are also very friendly people, willing to make your stay as good as possible. The food they made for me was absolutely delicious and in big portions. Also, I appreciated the place has WiFi. I recommend this place !

Honestly one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at during my time in Sri Lanka. The place is clean and comfortable, breakfast was always delicious, and the one dinner I had there turned out to be the best meal of my trip — tasty, generous, and great quality. What really made it special was the people. Maliya was so kind and helpful, always there if I needed anything. He even took me to a beautiful sunset spot nearby and walked me to the bus stop when I checked out. Those small gestures really meant a lot and made the stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed here as a group of friends and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The host was incredible – he ordered and organised things for us, gave us loads of tips about the local area, and even went above and beyond when my friend left her bag at a bus stop. He actually tracked it down and drove it back to us! His whole family were so kind and welcoming, which made us feel completely at home. Breakfast was amazing every morning, and the beds were huge double bunks, super comfy after a long day exploring. Best place ever!!! The location is just perfect, you are away from the loud and crowded places but still a walkable distance to anywhere, you are surrounded by nature you can also see deers in the morning it’s truly magical! Diwakara and his family are all the sweetest people that take you in and you feel so much at home. The beds are comfortable and the shower is nice and strong, which you don’t get everywhere. The only problem is that you might not want to leave this place EVER. 😆
