If I had only tried a few hostels, you might think this is just another average review but I’ve been traveling the world for years and stayed in hundreds of hostels and this one, truly stands out. It’s not about being fancy or full of luxury. The facilities are simple, clean, and practical. Exactly what you’d expect for the price. But what makes this place extraordinary is the hospitality, warmth, and genuine care that the team puts into everything they do. Even the small moments show it. One evening at dinner, my plate came with mashed potatoes (which I don’t like). I asked for an empty plate just to separate the food, and while I thought the request had been forgotten, a staff member came back minutes later with a fresh serving of hot rice made just for me! Completely unasked for. That’s the level of thoughtfulness they put into their guests. And then there’s the magic of their special dinners. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday they cook something unique… a different dish every time, prepared with love and served not because they have to, but because they want us to connect, share, and feel at home. They don’t even eat with us; it’s all about creating a space where travelers can gather and build friendships. It’s rare to find a hostel with this much heart and soul. Honestly, it feels less like a hostel and more like a family. The only downside? It’s becoming harder to find a bed because everyone wants to stay here! So if you see availability, don’t hesitate! One of the best hostels I have stayed in. Felt like home. Cyren is the most wonderful host. They have family dinner every Mon, Wed, Fri where they invite everyone for a homecooked veg dinner on the house. Got to meet so many lovely travellers from all over the world at this hostel. Free breakfast every morning, also delicious. Cyren cooks something different every morning and super tasty.

I'm a long time traveller and i have been to a lot of hostels yet. But this one...awesome...there is just nothing to complain about and i'm german. Location is quit and close to the center. Proper comfortable big beds with light and curtain. The common area is perfect to get in touch with new people and they serve a lot of stuff for free...breakfast, fruits, water and tea sometimes food or snacks. They have laundry service and help you with every travel task like transportation or sightseeing tour or whatever...in summary: amazing place, kind people...that i really recommend to all travellers out there

I can't even begin to describe how great my stay at Sunset Hostel was. Everything is clean and in good condition. But the best thing is the staff. The employees are so nice and helpful with everything you could possibly need. It's one of the best experiences I've ever had at a hostel. Highly recommended.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! A really nice place, perfectly located just a short walk from the night market. The rooms are clean, with privacy curtains and air conditioning for a comfortable stay. Towels, lockers, soap, and shampoo are provided, adding to the convenience, they have great location and a nice place to stay would stay here again when I come back.

From the moment you arrive, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The varied breakfast served each morning is great. Water coffee, and tea are available 24 hours a day. They help you with motorcycle rentals, train tickets, transportation, laundry, and dining recommendations. Everyone is very nice. My experience in Luang Prabang was definitely incredible because Casa Verde was my base. Thank you Lu and JP! <3
