The big thing this hostel has going for it are it's two cats, Maru and Kogo! It's really nice that after an exhausting day I can just come back to these two furballs that are always lounging around on the heated floor 😆 There is a bar at the hostel, a lounge for guests behind it and the staff are a joy to chat with. All the facilities here really foster a good social scene at the hostel. Something so many places on my trip failed to do. The beds are surprisingly comfy and outside there is a wall of polaroid photos of all the guests cats you can look at! I've paid x2-x3 more for some hostels and Mad Cat even has those places beat! I'm giving out a 10/10 here easily. If you are staying in Osaka, pick Mad Cat

All the staff speaks English and are very sociable. Beds are comfy if you like it hard, plenty of showers and toilets in the room and on the floor for everyone to do their hygiene routine. Lounge is big and very sociable, lots of tables to form groups and make new friends with. The best part is the tatami mat sitting area. Great location. The hostel is a 5 min walk from Tennoji station and is right beside a familymart so you can get a quick meal whenever.

Even though it was a hostel the room was big and the bed was very comfortable. All the amenities were available downstairs in the lounge area, Got to meet people from different countries too. Staff was friendly and helpful and even arranged for a taxi to the airport at 4:30 in the morning.Family mart, cafe, restaurants, everything was nearby.
