Great location, within walking distance to all the main attractions. Very quiet, with everything that you can possibly need. Great cheap laundromat, really good bathroom facilities, very clean, you even have a soundproof cabin in case you need to work remotely. Best value for money and lovely staff. They upgraded my bed and let me check in earlier. Thanks a lot for that!

The owner of the hostel was a very kind man who let me stay for one day despite that the men dormitory was full so that i could take a rest and just go one. Hopefully i come again to stay more days as a good check point 🐱

My stay was great! The room has its own fridge, water dispenser (hot and cold), foldable table, mugs, coffee, tea, lockers (for your valuables), towels, trash bins, hair dryer and heater.. Kenji was real helpful and everything was kept orderly and clean :) he has a washing machine (u have to pay 200 yen for the washer and 100 for the dryer, there were soap pods available to use). Hot and cold showers were working fine too! I did not expect to have the room all to myself, the 3 bunks were unoccupied 🥹 the location was just a few min walk from Uji River, so there were harmless insects but nothing to worry about. Its walking distance from everything Uji Matcha as well 💚 i enjoyed my stay here so much :)

Free Coffee/Tea Lovely common area for socialising but you cannot hear any of the noise from the pods. Pods are spacious with fans, curtains, and lights. Staff were friendly. Laundry 300 yen, dryer 100 yen for 30 minutes.

Just 200 metres from Nara Park, Nara Backpackers offers affordable accommodation with free Wi-Fi. The traditional, 100 year-old house includes a modern free-use kitchen with microwave.

It was the second time we stayed here. We enjoyed everything. A true Japanese experience. Good location, good services.
