Sometimes you come to a place and you instantly love it. That’s what happened to us when we got to Shu. We were nicely welcomed by Mimima that did all he could to make our stay very comfortable. The room is nicely designed, with natural materials, has a zink and you can make your coffees there. There’s also a nice carpet to sit on and good lighting. The bathroom and shower are perfect and clean.

Cosy, clean guesthouse to come back to after exploring Kochi and surroundings. The manager’s hospitality was on another level, sharing fruits and helping me with a lost item. Highly recommend.

I like that is was kind of japanese style, it doesn't look like an hotel, it's look like a house so is warmer environment. Also, they give me discount coupons for eating that cover my food expenses during the 3 days I was there

Mari-san, the manager, was very generous and helpful and friendly. As there were no meals provided at Hostel John Mang, she was enthusiastic to drive us to a wonderful restaurant that had great food. She made us feel very welcome like old friends, even though we had just met! The owner of this hostel also owns Nazuna Inn, just down the road that does offer meals.
