These guys run an awesome hostel. I stayed in a nice air conditioned room, and made a few friends in the hostel. Raja gave me a towel, cold drinking water, and a coffee in the morning, and he helped me so much with my exit permit application – even after I’d left the city. So glad I stayed at this hostel. It’s bohemian for real.

Very nice hostel, would highly recommend. The owner is a superb host, he treats you like a friend and is open to having great conversations. He speaks perfect English. If you stay here, you feel the local experience, not a commercial experience that tries to treat you like royalty.

The owner is very friendly and helpful, worried about your comfort and also giving you some nice tips about where to eat good food at good price. Beds have a plug next to it, and the room is provided by two powerful fans. The guesthouse is located at a walking distance from the park and many highlights of the city. My flight was at night, and the owner let me leave my luggage during the day and also take some rest in the evening before departure. I will stay again every time I’ll visit Calcuta.
