The location is excellent, the guide for the tour is from the local community, the hostess is fantastic company, the place allows for proper wind down. You are a bit off the beaten track but not so much to make it difficult. The staff communicates excellently about this and arranges for a guide to pick you up for the 30min (easy) hike to the hostel. We extended our stay, that’s how much we liked it.

I loved sleeping with the sound of the river. The place is very cosy considering the simplicity of the homestay. You can see that it's a starting business that promises a lot if they keep the hard work. The 5-br with mountain views, had become one of my favourite resting spots.

I was lucky to get a very nice upgrade to a private room with ensuite as there was no room in the hostel dorms... hence, I cannot complain about anything.

Beautiful hostel right at the river, I could spend days chilling at the hostel grounds. Also nice to be in a dorm but without bunk beds. There is many showers and toilets, so you barely ever have to wait. The tours they offer were nice and staff was friendly and it is all Guatemalan run.

Everything about this place was great in my opinion, location was amazing and it had great views, the layout of the land and rooms was very well thought out, the bar and restaurant was river side and everything was clean and well kept! The food was delicious and the day trips offered by front desk were amazing! Staff were friendly and attentive and took care of all our needs! I would definitely recommend staying here!
