We loved the location, it's perfect for surfing, for beginners as well as for more experienced surfers. It is surrounded by great places (restaurants, cafes, bars, the beach, city center walking distance). We met amazing new people from different parts of the world, cooked together, shared traditional recipes... It felt like a family. On the terrace we had sunny mornings near the beach and great atmosphere. When you need your own personal space it is respected. The whole house has beautiful natural light and ventilation. We had no unpleasant experiences and it was very clean. Everyone respected the hostel etiquette and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. This Histel is one of the best places I have ever stayed at.. I certainly recommend it. Can't wait to be here again! Thank you, Ventana Azul

The hostel was really clean the entire time I stayed there. Ayuz, the manager, did a great job ensuring everything is spotless and was super helpful with any questions. She also let me keep my things there after checkout since my flight was later that evening. The volunteers (Amelie, Camilla, and Paola) became genuine friends and fantastic companions for exploring Gran Canaria. They were always helpful with questions and kept the hostel running smoothly. Anika's cocktails at the bar were incredible, and she was just as helpful as the rest of the team. Overall, the clean facilities, helpful staff, and friendly atmosphere made my 2-week stay great. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Las Palmas.

I loved my week at El Rincón de los Artistas! A typical Canarian house in La Isleta, just a 10-minute walk to Las Canteras. Beautiful building, peaceful, and it really feels like a home by the beach. The rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing or sunbathing. Lots of shared spaces, a well-equipped little kitchen, and both private/shared bathrooms available. Free street parking was a big plus. Overall, a cozy, quiet stay — would definitely come back!

It was my first ever stay in hostel and I'm very happy how it went. Would definitely come back to Tamaran when next time in Las Palmas. Just to list few things: Helpful and dedicated staff, Group activities arranged daily, Lots of open-minded guests Rooftop terrace where you can eat looking at and listening to the ocean, Location just by Playa de las Canteras, Multiple grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

It was my first time traveling alone and it couldn't have been better. The hostel is perfectly located, right in front of the beach, so it is close to all the essential places like restaurants, supermarkets, and surf lessons (I mean, what else do u need?). The volunteers were extremely friendly and always made everyone feel welcome and included. I stayed in the upper room and it was perfect, not too crowded at all. The beds were comfortable and I literally slept with the sound of the waves every single day. The hostel and the rooms in general were impressively clean (considering we were all bringing some sand in). Everyone was super nice and not once did I feel uncomfortable, made amazing friends during my short stay. I would recommend this hostel with my eyes closed, it made me want to stay there forever. This amazing experience totally encouraged me to solo travel even more now! Check their Instagram because they have a video that shows u step by step how to get there from the airport so u won't get lost.
