hmm never felt more welcome in a hostel in my life?? honestly, ithaka was home right away, with the nicest people there sharing stories, music, and very good advice on what to do around. It's right in the center of Alexandria, facing the sea, with everything close by. oh and also everyone kept offering me food?? especially Samir, thank you for feeding me all the time and for being such a great person!! The name speaks for itself, this place is home

I fell in love with this hostel - the building and the rooms are such old world glamour and we paid extra to get a room with a sea view which was definitely worth it as you can gaze out to the Mediterranean each evening and morning. It was right in the heart of Alexandria and you could walk everywhere easily. Staff friendly too. Really recommend if you want to experience the bygone era.
