Katty. She's amazing. She's helpful and knows what we need before we know! She's the reason to come here. Truly the best person. She's available 24/7! The rooms are nice too. Very comfortable beds. Very clean! Hot showers. Fully equipped kitchen. Offers (unsecured) luggage storage before and after checkout. It's not safe to park on the street overnight. Katty can help arrange parking at a nearby secured lot for a few dollars.

I think the highlight of my stay at Alajuela Backpackers was the staff, they were helpful, friendly and flexible which was greatly appreciated as I made several mistakes with my booking. I also tried the restaurant which provided quick and tasty food. Overall I greatly enjoyed my stay at the hostel and would recommend it handily if staying in a private room.

Stayed twice in this hostel. Definately recommend for girls. It's safe, tidy, well equipped, you have everything you need. Also staff is very nice and helpful. There's self check in in hostel but but they are always in touch when you need help or any info.

Such a nice place to stay! The owner and his family are lovely, and they wanted to create somewhere where they would also be happy to stay. The beds are really comfortable and have curtains and a plug socket and light. There are two bathrooms in the dorm (with hot water), and you are given a towel. There's different breakfast every day. Thank you for a lovely stay!
