Casa Salento was hands down the best accommodation we stayed at throughout the whole of Colombia. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were at home. The staff are exceptional and really make sure you have a great understanding of the local area and what there is to do and see. The rooms are lovely and have a good sized bathroom, hot showers and clean water. The location is absolutely brilliant, just a short walk away to the main square where all the restaurants are etc! We absolutely loved this place and did not want to leave, please stay here if you’re in Salento because you will not regret it !!

We were for two nights in the nature hostel and we felt instantly very welcome. The team was very lovely and always very helpful, giving good informations about tours or what ever we asked for. Always you can keep in touch with them via WhatsApp for questions and reservation. The hostel is small and simple, but gives you all you need. We can highly recommend this small family business and want to say thank you very much for the nice stay.

Casa Mochila is an absolute gem. The owners Juan and Caro are incredible friendly and helpful. The property is a few kilometers outside of the town of Salento, but there's a bus that comes every 20mins. We preferred to be a bit more in the nature, so it was a perfect for us. The building is quite new and was designed by Juan himself. It has a jungle treehouse kind of feel. There is a Jacuzzi to use at nighttime, which is perfect to relax after hiking the Cocora Valley. Also there's a fireplace to cosy up next to in the evening. They have 2 beautiful dogs that are very sweet and friendly. There's drinks and food available, but if you want a party hostel vibe, this isn't the place for you. There's places in Salento if you want that. All in all, Casa Mochila was an amazing place to stay and I will be dreaming about it for years to come. Thank you Juan and Caro!!!

Recommend with whole my heart 🤍 Gilma immediately felt like family when I arrived in her home, through the messy garden in the back haha! We hugged, had a coffee, talked, she gave me a private room while I had booked a dorm, she also lives there, you share her cosy housy kitchen, 5'walk from main street, supermarkets, bus station (the town is tiny ;) ), we shared Christmas Loved it!
