This hostel is an absolute paradise by the sea! The location is unbeatable, right in front of a stunning beach where you can enjoy views and relax to the sound of the waves. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks to the friendly staff and volunteers who are always ready to help with a smile. If you're into surfing, you'll love that they have surfboards available so you can make the most of the waves. The beds are super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a day full of adventure. All in all, this is a place that perfectly combines natural beauty with top-notch service—I highly recommend staying here!

Very nice hosts and staff and also really lovely dogs. Vicki prepares great meals for dinner and some days she and Toni play good electronic music at the bar, which is placed on a pirate ship. We loved the many great paintings and details like a canon on the ship. Besides, the kitchen was well equipped and clean and it was nice to have direct access to the river to cool down. We had a great time at the hostel, so that we extended our stay.

Polite staff and smooth check-in. Location is a bit remote but this was ideal for me as I wanted to rest in the nature. You'd get awaken by the sounds of the nature which would never happen if you live in a large city. I appreciated that.

The Journey Hostel was absolutely wonderful! The view is breathtaking, and the food was truly amazing—like, very very amazing! The cocktails are delicious, and the happy hour is a perfect way to unwind. The infinity pool was ideal for relaxing with that stunning view after a long day. The tours organized by Lola are truly unforgettable experiences. You get such great value for the price—an amazing way to enjoy yourself, gain knowledge, and connect deeply with nature. Overall, my stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend The Journey Hostel for anyone visiting Santa Marta or Tayrona Park!

Great atmosphere. Stayed in the glamping four bed and it was comfortable but the fans did cut off quite often. Really good food facilities and bathrooms/ showers. Highly recommend

Had the larger dorm room with 4 bunk beds and hence it felt very spacious for 1 pax. Breakfast was yummy and the location is close to everything. Great that the staff spoke English as it helps, given my limited command of Spanish.
