The view from the room is awesome, just right at the mountain view! The breakfast is amazing, it's buffet, they offer bread, fresh eggs, fruits and yogurt, all you can eat. There is a bus station just right at the hostel, but we love the trail from the hostel to Grindelwald station, we enjoy walking there.

everything was great. the facilities (showers lockers beds kitchen bathroom etc..) were all always clean and are sturdy and well made. never did i feel the hostel was taking shortcuts to cut cost. kitchen had ample utensils. alot of space to eat. there were so much free services just for guest comfort (even other than the ones mentionned here like free tennis and pool access and free shoes that u can use and return free day lockers and more). Nothing can do the staff and views from the hotel justice.

We were so excited to stay at Walters again. This time with our kids. We came here 25 years ago and loved the place. The spacious large room with a good-sized table, the shared kitchen to cook in, and the amazing breakfast for a small extra fee. The breakfast is so large you can use it for breakfast and lunch, and it is brought to your room whatever time you order it for!! We loved having it with the hot chocolate!! 😍 And so close to the bus stop and a short walk anyway to Interlaken Ost if you don't take the bus (only one stop). Whilst it's charm has not changed, our kids loved the high-tech in the rooms, with wireless charging, bedside chargers and power access. Spacious shared bathroom. You can also wash and dry here for an extra fee. We were sad to hear Walter passed away in January, but so glad his son is still carrying on this wonderful service and access to cheaper accommodation to those who want to enjoy the majestic Swiss alps, God's handiwork at its finest! We love this place, and can highly recommend it! Thank you so much Morsel (sorry if I spelt that wrong), we know how hard you work to provide this service to us budget conscious travellers 7 days a week. Thank you so much. 😊🙏
