I don’t really like hostels and sharing spaces as I’ve been in way too many at this point. Nevertheless this place is my favourite in Cairns, and probably in Australia too. Sharing kitchen is always clean, enough and clean bathrooms, superb staff, people really respects the rules, quiet at night and absolutely comfy beds. Makes me feel like in a little home.

Dreamtime is an award winning hostel with a difference. We offer travellers a safe, peaceful & cosy place to stay. We are not a party hostel.

Really enjoyed my stay. Felt more like a family than a hostel. The facilities were nice, staff were exceptional - they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Tim organised a kayaking trip which was fantastic. I felt like I became part of the family while I was there.

The pool area has a lot of space to chill and sunbath. The bathroom and kitchen were really clean plus the staff is super lovely.

The garden is amazing, common areas are clean and perfect to meet to people. The hostel is quiet and well located near the CBD. Curtains on the bed are Nice for privacy. And big shoutout to Camille, Thomas and Lou, they’re always happy to help you.

the location is great. art gallery, woolworths, night market... all in walking distance. And they even provide shower gel in bathroom. Kitchen is clean. Hooks in the room for you to hang your coat.

The staff was so amazing and everything was so clean!!! You can play pool and table tennis, they have a cinema and a giant swimming pool. There is free breakfast with pancakes every morning.

Ideally located in the scenic and quieter area of the Esplanade- away from the noise of the clubs, bars and traffic- but only an easy 10 minute walk to the main attractions, the Pier and Cairns City...

The hostel is so nice. There are huge communal spaces, the pool and also rooms and bathroom are so spacious. The bed are pretty comfortable too. It’s pretty chill and the vibes are really cool. Also, there are no noise from clubs or anything and I love that. The staff also was lovely! Definitely recommend it!!

I really liked the bedroom, with A/C it’s very cool inside and the beds are confortable ! There are way enough showers/toilets for everyone at anytime, and the kitchen is big enough aswell. The weekly activities are very fun and a good way to meet new people ! There’s free pancakes on Sunday morning (Yum Yum !) The hostel is up North but there is a shuttle every 30 mins to get to the center, you are here in 5 minutes it’s cool 👍 The team is very kind and always helpful
