The property is a private house, which has been stylishly decorated for guests to stay in with a blue theme as per the name, “Mekong Bleu”. I was given a nicely decorated, large room with an attached bathroom with a bath and large shower. I had plenty of hot water and the air conditioner in the room worked extremely well. It was very quiet at night. O felt the room was very good value for money. The host, Sunny, who has extensive experience in the tourism industry, who can also speak French and English) will instantly make you feel at home and will provide you with information on tours and local eats in the area. The atmosphere at the homestay is very relaxed with 2 other female family members pottering around and doing their daily activities. The homestay is situated about 2km from town, so I would suggest using one of the free bicycles if you want to go there. The traffic in the town isn’t too bad, but it gets a little busy after 4:00. It’s a good experience to go exploring by bike down the local laneways to see the beauty of the area. Lunch and dinner can be arranged but it’s also nice to try some of the restaurants in town. Have no fear, this homestay is comfortable, relaxing, and the charming host will make your stay a great one.

Sorra was a very kind and helpful host. Nothing too much trouble. We enjoyed renting a scooter for a day. Tasty breakfast included. The room was clean and spacious. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Property is completely new. Comfortable mattress and aircon working well. No need of earplugs or mask. Everything is very well equipped for sleeping in the room and shared placed for enjoying beautiful Mekong nature. The host Hong offers a lot of activities in the area. They may seem simple but are really authentic and funny and you share them with locals. We went for all of them, then except that Hong arranged for us the local massage and transport to HCMC. We were also riding almost 40km on a bike near river channels so it was great experience and also went to enjoy local home hosted karaoke. Dinner was delicious but more expensive than other restaurants in the area but ingredients were very fresh and host helped us choose and her mama cooked very tasty. We went to the local market to buy them together in the mornings. I think it was really a lot for a three day and definitely worth it. Even Can Tho or Ben Tre so close for one day trip so you can stay even longer.

We felt lucky to have stayed at this guesthouse. We were well looked after by the whole family, they were lovely and shared lots of their delicious fruits. The accommodation was modern, clean and quiet. There are many places to sit in the gardens, with lovely views of the Mekong. The food was delicious and they catered for our dietary requirements. We decided to do the boat trip which was a great experience, it felt authentic and was peaceful. We would recommend. Overall a memorable stay and one of our highlights in Vietnam.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! The owner went above and beyond, arranging a free pickup from the bus and even helping us book our next ride. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. The family are so welcoming and made us feel at home. Vi helped us with everything we needed for our onward travel to Cambodia via Ha Tien, booking us a shared taxi and the bus to cross the border, and telling us how to get US dollars. The rooms are spacious and clean, and Vi’s mum does an excellent breakfast of eggs & baguettes.
