The villa in perfectly maintained, the chef’s food is best we had so far. Ralu and Lee and very welcoming. Really really recommend.

Set in Jambiani, in the middle of a local village , Zanzistar Lodge boasts a sun terrace with outdoor pool and is located just a short stroll away from the beach.

The rooms feature trendy and minimalistic design and the beds are draped with a mosquito net. There is a safety deposit box and the private bathrooms are fitted with a shower. We stayed at Zanzistar as a large family (grand-parents and two family sub-groups with many kids). The facilities are beautiful and give a wonderful beach holiday feel, it's secluded and quiet, with a beautiful pool and very well set-up eating spaces (both by the beach with a beach club and by the main area for dinner). The staff were very accomodating to our large food orders, early dinner hours, etc which was very appreciated. The family room was very pretty and comfortable.

There are many things to like about the hotel but the main reasons are the owners, who are passionate about hospitality and very professional. All their staff is also very friendly and attentive to the guests, there is a genuinely good atmosphere in this hotel. Another great asset is the restaurant. Food is simple, with fresh and healthy ingredients, and it tastes amazing. If you are unfortunate enough to have booked your stay in a different hotel, you can at least make it up by eating at Helwa's. All the best to Helwa's and happy anniversary!

Great place to stay, steps from the beach and several restaurants and kite/snorkeling centers. Amina and Issa were very attentive and super friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

Located in Nungwi, on the quieter north east coast of Zanzibar, Game Fish Lodge is situated along the beachfront and features an in-house restaurant, bar and a sun terrace. Free private parking is offered on site. We stayed in the "Apartment with Sea View". It felt like we had our own place on the beach, but with 2 people, Colin and Lesley, who cooked us excellent breakfasts and dinners. We loved the fruit crepes. The meals were not only delicious, but. so large we always had left overs for lunch The balcony apartment is quite large and has an am,azing pato with spectacular ocean view. The pool is deep and overlooks the ocean. We had it nearly to ourselves. There is a fridge near ,the pool with beer and soft drinks at very reasonable prices. If you wish a more lively place for drinks, you can go into town or next door to the Skybar. There is direct access to the ocean and while there are sea urchins, I swan in the ocean all 3 days I was there, but made sure I was wearing wster shoes. Some days we walked along the beach several kilometers. Colin and Lesley left us yo ourselves, except during breakfsst and dinner. They were grest hosts.

The spacious rooms have views of the palm grove garden or the Indian Ocean, and include terraces with seating areas. Free Wi-Fi is available is all areas. We arrived at the hotel with a very smooth airport transfer organized by the accommodation. The hotel is a beautiful house in the style of old stone town buildings. The owners were of great company and cared for any of our needs. The restaurant for me was the top notch and very fairly priced. Overall for all of us was am amazing and relaxing experience.

A car rental service is available at the homestay. We stayed in the family room with our two kids and it was the perfect place for us. The space was large enough for all of us to feel comfortable. The garden area felt very safe and relaxed. We appreciated having a shared kitchen where we could prepare our food. The hosts were welcoming and super helpful with arranging transport, excursions and giving us great tips about the area. We felt very at home here. We would absolutely return.
