Our preferred accommodation for Istanbul stays. Nelly is the girl you want when in Istanbul. Happy to help, rooms are clean, comfortable, well-equipped. Not new, but not without charm and care. It's basically a good value accommodation with a good host on top of it.

Gul Sultan Hotel is situated less than a 5-minute walk from Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The hotel’s summer terrace features views of the Sea of Marmara. We stayed around 6 days and had two bookings in this hotel. The location, the facilities and the room were all perfect and very convenient for a short stay to explore Istanbul. The main attractions were within the walking distance and there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. No breakfast was offered in the hotel but we found a really nice small restaurant and ate there most of the time. The receptionists were always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's a small and quiet hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.

The host was outstanding, providing exceptional help throughout our trip, and was truly the highlight of our visit. Our room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and very comfortable, making it a perfect retreat. You absolutely must eat at the on-site restaurant; it serves excellent, authentic traditional Turkish food. Highly recommended!
