Mustafa and his daughter Cansu are amazing hosts and provide a warm and welcoming environment for guests (and their bicycles!). After a long cycling trip we felt right at home during our 5 night stay and very much enjoyed their company and that of our fellow travellers. Mustafa also helped us plan the next leg of our trip (he has travelled extensively in Turkey) and assisted us with bike logistics which can be difficult at the end of a cycling trip in a foreign country! The breakfasts are delicious, filling and well worth the 5€. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable but the genuine Turkish hospitality is definitely the winner! Looking forward to our second stay in September!

At the homestay, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. Amazing location, on a quiet street but just steps away from all the shops and cafés of Balat. The host, Murat, was very kind and welcoming and helpful. He gave me lots of recommendations in the neighborhood, including a hammam with no tourists. I had a room on the upper floor with balcony, facing the courtyard, and it was quiet and relaxing and beautifully furnished with antiques and lovely touches like traditional lamps and rugs. The bed and covers are very comfortable. Slept like a baby. The value is amazing for what you get and I would (and will!) happily stay here again.

The breakfast was incredible. The views from each floor were spectacular. The host was outstanding. This place surpassed my expectations and a great value.

Nelly Guesthouse features accommodation within 1.7 km of the centre of Istanbul, with free WiFi, and a kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. The property features city views and is 800 metres from Istiklal Street and less than 1 km from Taksim Square. The guest house has family rooms. I do recommend. Nelly was so helpful and she s a kind women. The place was clean The location is close to istiklal street 10 minutes walk. She has a friendly cats. In general everything was absolutely good.

All air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated with oriental details and feature private en suite bathrooms with a hairdryer. Some double rooms have 4-poster beds with embroidered clothes. Excellent location with a nice view of the sea. Good kebab restaurant nearby with live music and good food (many restaurants around the place). We loved the breakfast on the terrace with a wonderful view of the sunrise.

Each room has simple, yet modern furniture and boast a private balcony. All rooms have TV with multilingual cable channels, a work desk and well-stocked minibar. My experience was nothing but amazing no notes 10/10

Gul Sultan Hotel is situated less than a 5-minute walk from Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The hotel’s summer terrace features views of the Sea of Marmara.

This restored private house offers rooms with free Wi-Fi access and a private bathroom. Rooms of the Gul Sultan are also air-conditioned and include a TV and minibar. We stayed around 6 days and had two bookings in this hotel. The location, the facilities and the room were all perfect and very convenient for a short stay to explore Istanbul. The main attractions were within the walking distance and there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. No breakfast was offered in the hotel but we found a really nice small restaurant and ate there most of the time. The receptionists were always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's a small and quiet hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The homestay features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. A genuinely fantastic stay! The host was outstanding, providing exceptional help throughout our trip, and was truly the highlight of our visit. Our room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and very comfortable, making it a perfect retreat. You absolutely must eat at the on-site restaurant; it serves excellent, authentic traditional Turkish food. Highly recommended!
