Our room had a really nice view of lake bled and the castle. Everything was perfectly cleaned and the bathroom was really modern and freshly renovated! The family Mayer was incredibly kind to all the guests and it was very easy to communicate in German or English. The Pension is really well kept, has a beautiful garden, close and safe parking and is nicely decorated. But the best thing was by far the breakfast! A vast amount of options both sweet and savery. Fresh fruits, homemade Granola and smoothies, lost of baked goods and the best thing were the delicious homemade spreads. So tasty! Also awesome for vegetarians and vegans, especially compared to other slovenian menus. I normally tend to skip breakfast at home and it is my least favorite meal, but here I was already looking forward to it the evening before! We would definitely recommend Penzion Mayer to others and hope we'll be able to return some day!

We were welcomed by Nejc with some delicious Kremsnita and coffee or tea, a lovely way to make us feel welcome. He also took the time to point out local attractions of interest. The apartment was really lovely, with a separate kitchen and even a balcony. We had access to the washing machine and could store and charge e-bikes in the laundry room.
