She is not only a gifted and inspired cook; honestly, her food is of true Michelin star quality but she also makes you feel genuinely cared for from the very first moment. Every dish is homemade, most ingredients come straight from her garden, and every bite reflects the love and thoughtfulness she puts into her cooking. Booking the dinner is an absolute must. I have never tasted anything like it. What makes this place so unique is its total authenticity. If you are looking for something truly special, something that stays with you long after you have left, this is where you want to be. The reviews speak for themselves, and rightly so. I honestly cannot understand how anyone could rate this experience anything less than excellent. Yes, you are surrounded by nature, in the middle of golden wheat fields. Complaining about a dead insect here would be like booking a beachfront hotel and then complaining about sand. This is real, beautiful countryside — and it is absolutely magical. I am incredibly picky and have very high standards. Yet here, everything was simply perfect. We were a bit weary of the hotel, because it's not a part of a big chain, but on our way around Nordics that area made the most sense to stop overnight. And we're so glad we chose that hotel! The welcoming staff was truly exceptional - they pointed us to a really nice restaurant nearby and even got up early to fix us breakfast (we were departing before standard breakfast time). The breakfast was excellent. We had 2 rooms - both of them very comfy and clean. Fans were keeping the temperature down. There is a nice garden with tables to sit in the afternoon, car charging point was great for us with the electric car and supermarket nearby came handy for extra snacks. 10/10

Cozy, beautiful and relaxed hotel right next to the sea. We made use of the nearby outdoor bath house (entry included), warming up in the sea-view sauna and cooling down with a dip in the ocean. The hotel location is wonderful, with just a few walking steps to the Norwegian Sea where seals and porpoises roam. Overall, one of our best hotel stays ever!
