The entire place is beautifully organized, with a layout that makes it feel both spacious and homely. The kitchen is especially well thought out: each room has its own assigned table, cupboard, and set of plates, utensils, and cooking items, which keeps things wonderfully neat and easy for everyone. And then there is Catarina – what a host! She is truly the heart of this place. Warm, sincere, and full of genuine care, she puts her soul into making her guests feel welcome and valued. She visits daily to tidy and refresh the common areas, replace the flowers, and, more often than not, surprise guests with delicious homemade or local treats. She is thoughtful, adaptable, and always ready to help – whether it’s offering great local tips or simply checking in via message to see if we needed anything. We felt so looked after and appreciated her kindness enormously. The property itself feels like a peaceful haven – quiet, comfortable, and infused with warmth and charm. Everything here has been designed with the guest’s comfort in mind, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into it. We travel often, but this stay will remain a highlight for us. Great location- surrounded by nature but only a 20 minute walk into town. The building was gorgeous, and the staff was super helpful and kind. The jacuzzi and pool are excellent and we enjoyed relaxing out there.

Solar de Santo Andre is beautiful and historic. The location is fantastic. I have a wheat allergy and was offered special gluten free bread and cookies at breakfast. The breakfast was delicious! I stayed in the blue room and it was very comfortable. I enjoyed exploring the various rooms of the manor too. Eduarda was wonderfully helpful via WhatsApp. She helped me arrange an early check in and booked my taxi to the airport. I managed to lock myself in the washroom right before leaving, and Eduarda responded to my text and sent help within two minutes! Betania checked me in and showed me the house. We communicated via google translate, but it worked really well! Betania is very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this!

Emanuel was there to meet us when we arrived, and he was always reachable when we needed - a very nice host! :) He recommended places to visit and really good restaurants. The house has a common kitchen area and outdoor area which was always kept clean and tidy. Our room had a balcony overlooking the parking area, which we enjoyed having breakfast or a drink.
