We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

Amazing experience with our hosting family - we got to know their unique way of living in the islands, where everything is made out of totora. Isaac took us fishing on his boat and made a presentation of their day to day life. I never had such friendly and kind hosts before, I definitely think this was one of the highlights of visiting Peru. The room was gorgeous with 2 huge windows to the lake - and a very cozy bad with a fantastic view. We paid extra to get home cooked meals, that were very tasty - I can recommend!

Jose went above and beyond to help us out whilst we stayed here! Was super communicative, and helped us order taxis to the bus station early in the morning, looked after our bags whilst we went on an overnight tour on the lake and so much more! Showers were hot, and beds super comfy! We had the breakfast before our early morning tour which was also great. Would highly recommend staying here :)

The whole family was super nice and helpful. They pick you up/drop you at the port, offer their own tours around the Uros and help organise tours to the other islands. Different options for meals (including vegetarian), quite good and at a good price. Hot beverages for free. Plenty of blankets to cope with the cold at night.

The room is cozy and not too cold (for Peruvian standards in winter). The host was incredibly kind, he helped us by keeping our backpacks all day long and with recommendations. Breakfast was also rich and tasty.

Very hospitable hosts!! We arrived and they made us hot chocolate, then served us personally for breakfast outside of their usual breakfast hours as we had an early tour. Very welcoming.
