We enjoyed evening barbecues under the desert stars, and the children especially loved the unforgettable sunset dune tour. My husband and I were deeply grateful for the staff’s warm hospitality and the complimentary treats of Omani coffee, dates, tea, and fresh fruit. As a farewell gesture, we even received a luxurious sweet gift for the journey home. We highly recommend this chalet on the edge of the desert, especially for families with children — and we’ll definitely be back one day.

For the whole trip in Oman, the homestay in Ras Al Had is a highlight. During the whole trip, we stayed in Ras Al Had for two nights, where we snorkeled and saw green turtles on the beach. The whole itinerary was arranged for us by the homestay manager Ektheir. He was very enthusiastic and professional. It became very easy for us to communicate. The whole trip was great. Because there are very few Chinese tourists here, there is not much information on the Chinese Internet about how to travel in Oman, especially the eastern coast, so I think if there are other Chinese tourists coming here, they can choose this homestay, because this homestay not only has warm accommodation, but also can provide you with a lot of local tourism information, which is great and highly recommended to everyone.

The location was great, super easy to get to with a sedan, and it's right at the end of the dunes, so it was a nice walk to see the sunset. The rooftop was a lovely place to just take in the views and enjoy the sunrise. The house had all the amenities/facilities you need. We didn't cook, but the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook/have a meal. The pool! We enjoyed night swimming/taking a dip in the pool, which was nice and refreshing amidst the desert heat. Special thanks to Camarol, who was fantastic from pre-check in until check out. The entire house was absolutely spotless, he patiently answered all our questions, and made us the most delicious breakfast. Wish we stayed longer, but definitely pinning this location for the future!
