We felt very welcome and at home here thanks to our amazing host - a highlight is the beach, super close by and the baby turtles that lost their way and came in during the evening - we were able to set them free at the beach at night! Also the grilled fish for dinner was great!

The whole house is simply amazing, its very modern, and comfortable, you can see they paid attention to detail when designing the chalet. The swimming pool and rooftop were great as well, really enjoyed the pool after a hot day. The owner and his staff are very kind and helpful, and cooked the best meal I had in Oman.

Situated in Al Raka in the Al Sharqiyah region, Sand House features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, the 4-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. This was a very relaxing stay on the edge of the desert in Biddiyah. There are only 4 rooms that we could see and an additional dome tent so there are not many guests and everyone just relaxes on their own. There is a pool, a big sitting room when you enter the building, a rooftop with some seats, some more seats out front, as well as a tent for relaxing and a gazebo. There is lots of space. The rooms themselves are very comfortable, large and modern. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is large and there is also a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove, fridge and other items that guests can use. The owner is friendly, as are the staff helping to run things. It's also very clean and perfumed (if you like that or not). There is also breakfast included. Finally, when you go out the main compound gate, there are camels and goats walking around so you can pet them or take pictures with them if you'd like, as well as some sand dunes immediately in front of the property. The road up to the compound is about 150 metres long and either sand or rock. You can pick which one your car can handle. It's completely fine with a regular car but keep an eye out for sharp rocks. Of note, Google maps tells you to turn right off the road just a bit too soon as you arrive. Go past that and take the turn when you can see the building. There is also breakfast included with honey, olives, pita, beans, yogurt and cheese. Nothing spectacular but a nice addition to the place. Once you're in, you likely won't leave again for the night so make sure you have the things you'd like to have with you. Overall, we were very happy with this stay as we just stumbled upon it and it was excellent.

Featuring a shared lounge, Byblos Villa Resort is located in Al Ḩadd, within 1.5 km of Al Hadd Beach and 1.3 km of Al Hadd Fort. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Guests also enjoy access to the sauna and hot tub, as well as the hammam and steam room. So we were unsure whether to book this or not because of the reviews here, but took the risk! The property was absolute AMAZING, the location was perfect, but the staff were unbelievable! I mentioned it’s one of our friends birthdays and he went out to FILL the villa with balloons, decorations, birthday cake, candy, and lots of other fun things for when we arrived! We all arrived at awkward timings but he made sure to meet us super early to check in. He arranged a chef to cook us a bbq, constantly made sure we were well looked after, the villa is amazing, clean, comfortable, awesome cinema room, the pool and jacuzzi were amazing, and there’s a steam room! Huge villa but still very homely feeling, 100% recommend and we will definitely be back soon! Again thank you so much to the staff for making sure we were well looked after and going above and beyond at every stage! You were awesome !

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the homestay free of charge. The homestay features family rooms. Stellar overnight stay in Sur. Host was incredibly friendly - offered lunch to me after the drive from Muscat (!) Free use of the washing machine was greatly appreciated after 10 days on the road. Convenient to explore the city with a car, plenty of parking, plenty of places to eat nearby. Fantastic stay - would happily recommend it again.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. I recommend this place to everyone and would love to go back again. The guest house is located in the beautiful quiet town of Qalhat. It is a lazy seaside village. It is inspiring to see the owner involved in the day-to-day operations with his personal touch and he says it is not a guest house; it is our own house. I found that beautiful in spirit and in actions. The guest house has an open kitchen with all supplies (Eggs, butter, jam, bread, khaboos, oil for cooking, spices etc) provided. Guest can make their own food. It is wonderful. I must mention Khan and Tauhid. The man Fridays. Very generous, very helpful and willing to shoulder additional responsibilities smiling. Imagine on an international trip, we could make a BBQ. Thanks, to Tauhid and Khan for the Coal and the BBQ Stand. In our Overall Oman trip, this Guest House was the most memorable and we are missing the ginger kitten from the guest house.
