One of the best stays in our trip in Nepal! We highly recommend to stay here, the house is so lovely and cosy. It is a very traditional Patan home, and the family is so friendly, they will help you with anything you will need. Very nice breakfast and dinner!

It was one of the best stays for me. The family is very welcoming and smiling, moreover they were eager to share their culture. They speak good English, so it was quite interesting to talk to them and ask many needy questions! Somehow I thought my room would be darker, but really it had a big window and a lot of sun coming through, so that was really great. The room and facilities were super clean, + bed and blanket were extra comfy and warm, so I really felt as I was at home :) I also enjoyed their dal bhat, that they offer for a reasonable extra price, and even missing it now as I am writing the review. I had to do laundry, and the owner took me to a place where I can do that, which is about a few mins walk away. They also proposed to take me to nearby shops, since it was tough to coordinate myself first. And they also offer trekking services, therefore you don't have to worry about your Homestay is out of the city center, which is perfect for me, because I was working remotely. You can walk or get a cheap Indrive (it was around 70-90 NPR for me) to Thamel, and this way you will enjoy the fun ride as an adventure :) And it was peaceful, and they have a roof terrace where you can chill and enjoy the mountains view. I recommend the place 100%.

I chose this homestay based on previous comments and they were not lying. You couldn’t hope for a better host than Navin. He doesn’t do it for business but for the pleasure to welcome and share his culture, and you can trully feel it. I got to spend 3 dinners with his family, he showed me his yoga/meditation routine and he took me with him for all the prayers/ceremony in the early morning (+many teas and talks). All of that in just one day! The homestay is PERFECTLY located, there is a rooftop and hot shower. The dorm is quite small but beds are comfy, with curtains, own fan and power socket. If you want to expérience the local life, you have your place.

With garden views, Sunrise Point Homestay is situated in Nagarkot and has a restaurant and room service. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the homestay free of charge.

My stay at Sunrise Point exceeded my expectations. The private rooms are huge and you get a double bed and private bathroom with a hot efficient shower. The views from the room are breathtaking, you can see the Himalayas, and are incredible at sunrise, it feels like you are living in the clouds. The rooms are set in their own area away from the family home so it's very peaceful and private so you can have plenty of solitude in the quiet mountains, but it felt very homely and special to join the family and eat in the communal area, having each meal cooked fresh with ingredient from the farm. The family all care about their guests so much always making sure they have the best time. Staying here is such a special experience to live close to a local family to learn from them about their farm, the passion for a happy life, their culture and traditions.

We came to Kathmandu by night bus and checking in early in the morning was not an issue at all. Very nice and helpful family. We got the room on the rooftop which is very beautiful. The bathroom seemed pretty new.

A very clean and comfortable room and bathroom in a good location plus an excellent breakfast. The outstanding element is the warmth, friendliness, helpfulness and kindness of the hosts Sugat and Roshani, they went above and beyond our expectations in help and advice during our stay, helping with a Nepali SIM card, topping it up for us, telling us where best to exchange currency, booking the bus to Pokhara for us when we had difficulty with the bus website, suggesting restaurants, sites to visit, organizing a taxi to nargakot, endless kindness. We also ate at the restaurant they have in Patan called the jacaranda, excellent food, a lovely setting and good prices. We can highly recommend other travelers to stay at the Swagat Homestay.
