Comprising barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, Traditional Newari Homestay is a recently renovated accommodation in Pātan located close to Patan Durbar Square. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The homestay provides inner courtyard views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

The accommodation features a shared kitchen, private check-in and check-out and currency exchange for guests. The host did an excellent job. I definitely will stay in future.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Namaste Home Stay is a recently renovated guest house situated in Dhulikhel, 30 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Such a cozy, and homely place. I immediately felt safe after meeting the family and their beautiful children. The beds were incredibly comfortable, shower was great and warm, with a clean toilet, the view and location made it a 10, as the bedrooms can look to either the sunrise or sunset. And to top it off, the food was insane - best Nepali veg curry I’ve ever had.

Featuring mountain views, Nirvana Kuti provides accommodation with a terrace, around 100 metres from Kathmandu Durbar Square. Among the facilities at this property are full-day security and a housekeeping service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation offers private check-in and check-out, and currency exchange for guests. I stayed in Nirvana Kuti following the recommendation of Linda, a wonderful woman that I met in Delhi airport. She was indeed accurate: Nirvana Kuti is such a beautiful accomodation, comfortable, clean and pretty new. It was easy to feel home. Besides the comfort of the room, with a big, warm bed, with views to the temple just in front of the house, it is located just a few steps from Durbar square, in a very calm street. I slept extremely well and woke up to the beautiful views. Life is magical and I met Bobby, the owner of Nirvana Kuti, even before my stay. He kindly offered me a ride to Nirvana Kuti, and he made it very easy for me to feel home. Even more, he also allowed me to stay a bit longer because my bus was leaving in the evening. I appreciate Bobby's kindness and the beautiful taste in which the house is built. It is both comfortable and stylish, and the location couldn't be better. Thank you Bobby for making of my last days in Kathmandu (for this time) a beautiful experience and see you next time ♡

With city views, Laxmi Homestay with main square view is situated in Bhaktapur and has a restaurant and room service. The property has quiet street views and is 200 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. By far the highlight of my travels, to say the host, Navin, goes above and beyond for his guests is an understatement. Great for solo travellers, we visited during Nepali new year and Navin showed all the guests around the city, brought us to his family feasts and was above all else great company to be around, you have to stay here when visiting Bhaktapur!

Offering a garden and garden view, Jungle Crown Organic Homestay is located in Nagarkot, 10 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 18 km from Boudhanath Stupa. It is set 20 km from Pashupatinath and offers bicycle parking. Free private parking is available and the homestay also provides car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. I loved everything about this place, Mr Keshab and his family are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to provide the most outstanding service and comfortable stay. The property is situated in the most beautiful, peaceful serenity overlooking the valley. The views are stunning, the rooms are clean, cosy and very comfortable equipped with hot water. The location is great. I am so glad I stayed here rather than in the town of Nagarkot itself, which is also within walking distance. It’s so peaceful and amongst the forest. Hiking trails, waterfalls and suspension bridge all on your doorstep. I ended up staying 7 nights and also ate here everyday. The food is absolutely delicious, the best food I have eaten in the all of Nepal. I highly recommend asking for a traditional breakfast over your regular eggs on toast. Everyday had a different touch and was so so tasty. Mr Keshab took me to watch sunrise and this was just magical. I highly recommend staying here. I can’t thank him and his beautiful family enough. It really feels like a home away from home. I was sad to leave. This has been my favourite stay in the whole of Nepal. I will forever return when I come back to Nepal.

Second time stayed here, as great as ever. Cool person in charge always in answering my query without miss. 24 hours hot shower, clean bed, and necessary amenities are just around the corner. New paint and decorations making the space more warm and uplifting. Still the best in its class in Swayambu.

Shine Homestay Famille Francophone - Shine Home and Apartment, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Kathmandu, 2.5 km from Swayambhu, 2.9 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square, as well as 3.6 km from Swayambhunath Temple. The property has city and quiet street views, and is 2.5 km from Hanuman Dhoka. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Very helpful hosts that provided me with a lot of recommendations! They weren’t pushy either even though I opted not to do a trek with them. Awesome homestay experience!
