I can't say enough great things about this homestay! They arranged our transfer from Ella and arranged a morning and afternoon safari for us. We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend Tissa Rainbow for your stay while exploring Yala National Park, you won't regret it!

I don’t have words to describe the beautiful Mailagama Cinnamon Residence. Staff was super friendly and really helpful. We joined the copper dinner and it was simply amazing, we had dinner in the garden surrounded by the rice field - speechless! The room was clean, hot water in the shower. They arranged a safari for us and gave us a doggy bag with breakfast. They also have an immense rice and spicy field and have us a tour around. Beautiful experience

He sent us the bus schedule from Ella to Tissa, he drove us around the lake to see crocodiles and birds, and bats at a late time, he also arranged the safari in Yala for us for a great price, and prepared an early breakfast before leaving at 4:30. He drove us with his tuktuk when we needed to catch the bus to Tangalle and checked that we had successfully arrived. The room was also cozy and the location of the hotel is not far from the main road.

It is a very calm and quiet place you will appreciate especially after visiting busy towns. The friendly owners are ready to give you information and help you with anything. They prepared a lovely breakfast with lots of fruits for us every morning, booked a safari tour and a transport to next destination for us. The bungalow has a water heater, both AC and a fan, a patio where you can relax and watch various birds, chipmunks, peacocks and you can even see a crocodile in the lake. Django the dog will visit you time to time. Take a tuktuk and go to the beach, you can also visit the temple. Several small shops and two restaurants in short walking distance but you can also order your dinner and the hosts will prepare it for you. If we ever happen to visit Srí Lanka again, we would definitely come back!

Everything was perfect. The location is just amazing, next to rice fields and impressive landscape. The family is super nice and welcoming, especially Adi treated us super well! His father is an artist that has decorated all the hotel and that also works the rice fields. They packed us the breakfast early in the morning when we had to leave for the safari, even if we have not arranged it with them. They gave us a delicious welcoming juice and a lot of fresh fruit during our stay. The room was very big, clean and comfortable. There was also place to park our tuktuk in the yard. We spend an extranight there because it was the best homestay we had been to in Sri Lanka! You can also take bikes for free to go and see the fruit bats at dawn. Dinners were delicious and non spicy!!! At last we found non spicy food in Sri Lanka! And everything for an unbeatable price.
