Pool is a nice feature ans breakfast was great. We especially enjoyed the authentic home cooked Sri Lankan curry buffet - it was delicious.

EdenHaven cottage is most definitely a garden of Eden and a Haven from the rat race. the cottages are both modern and traditional with striking little artisan touches. the shower room is beautifully appointed. the outdoor private veranda was most relaxing, the lighting, natural teak wood floors and furniture are all the inspiration and imagination of a most hospitable and charming young man Anju. he couldn’t have arranged and done more for my husband and I. our breakfast, evening meals were varied, tasty and juicy. waking up to and settling into the evenings were harmonious, the garden produced the sounds of nature that send you to sleep and invite a new day. i can’t say enough about this open , warm, genuine family hospitality. i didn’t want you to leave. last but not least. my husband, Anju and his safari colleague Lasindu arranged to have my 61st birthday breakfast within the safari on top of a plateau overlooking the national park. cake , presents and a wonderful rendition of happy birthday could be heard by the whole national park… tearful and most privileged to have such attention to genuine detail. Anju and Lasindu and ian of course. thank you from the bottom of my heart for one of thee most memorable experiences.

The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Received warm hospitality from the owners. The amenities in the room are thoughtful and well designed. The forest view is perfect. Breakfast is also very special. Definitely worth the money and highly recommend.

Breakfast and dinner were some of the best food we ate on our trip, lovingly created for us with local ingredients used to create delicious Sri Lankan dishes. We went on a 6 hour private safari option arranged by Mango Tree and loved our experience spotting buffalo, many elephants, crocodiles, deer and a variety of different birds. A simple and tasty lunch was provided and served in the park. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and offered a personalised experience. The next day he swapped the safari jeep for a Tuk Tuk when we went to visit the orphaned elephants at the local transit home. I would suggest a 4 hours safari, more than enough to see animals. This was a very comfortable place to stay, truly homely and an excellent place to visit both the park and the elephant transit home.

The guest house features family rooms. The owner was super caring, the location was beautiful, the room was clean and had really good conditions. You can have dinner at the hotel, where the family will cook a very tasty and local meal for you for a very fair price. The place is small and feels like home. We really really recommend this place as it was one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka!

The room was very big with all the required amenities. Mr. Chandrapala and Mr. Vasantha were very generous and friendly. They recommended us lots of places and served us very tasty food. We loved their hospitality. Owner also helped us arrange pickup from Galle and a safari tour which is much recommended.

Boasting a spa and wellness centre and views of garden, Hasthi Safari Cottage is a recently renovated guest house set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation offers a sauna, hot tub, family-friendly restaurant and free WiFi. We only stayed for two nights, but we could have easily stayed longer. The room was clean, and our favorite feature was the outdoor bathroom, which we absolutely loved — it had a toilet, a regular shower, a natural waterfall-style shower, and even a small private plunge pool or bathtub — really fantastic. The location is great — right in the center of town, but it feels like you’re in the jungle. It’s beautifully arranged, and it’s definitely worth spending time relaxing on the terrace. The owner is extremely friendly and also offers dinners and a safari trip to Udawalawe National Park.
