We were warmly welcomed from the very first moment and really have nothing bad to say. The location is perfect, and in terms of value for money, there’s really no reason to complain. Super friendly host who even treated us to a real Sri Lankan breakfast. Definitely recommend!

The owners are so kind and lovely people. They do amazing breakfast and are soo helpful. The rooms are nice with hot water and aircondition is working well. I would come back any time.

This is a beautiful hostel with amazing views and great clean facilities! It’s been the nicest one I’ve stayed in thus far! So close to the beach and great local restaurants! And the walk there Is beautiful!The hosts were very kind and lovely and even helped me plan my bus route up to ella! I highly recommend and was sad to leave!

The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. Thanks for having us :)

This place is SOO lovely. Feels like a slice of luxury for the price. High ceilings, super spaces villas, felt like a real nice homely spot. So clean, comfortable and stylish. Just 5 mins to the beach and some nice local spots to eat at near by. Would 100% recommend this spot. Family and owner were really lovely and attentive but offer space and privacy as well Also the WiFi is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! Thanks so much!

The place was well located; an easy walk to the beach or a multitude of shops and restaurants - but not too close, so at night you can sleep quietly! Super clean, comfy and spacious rooms. The hosts were a very kind and accomodating family. Highly recommend!

Location is nice, close to the beach and away from the busy road. The room was good size and comfortable, A/C and internet worked well, the host was friendly and attentive. There is a kitchen and a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the coffee and spot peacocks and other birds. The bathroom has a bath tub which was nice.
