Awesome hospitality, the staff was super friendly and special thank to the manager who was easily accessible and very supportive throughout our stay. Accompanied us to visit Sigiriya by his tuktuk early in the morning which was quite exceptional. Overall we appreciate their humanity among most of the money minded people. Highly recommended.

After somewhat difficult arrival because of the night rain and small car we had :-) we were kindly welcomed by our nice host Kumari, with whom we had an really interesting evening conversations during our stay. The room is nice and equipped. The breakfast was very good, freshly prepared, with local specialities. Located in a small settlement inside the jungle, one can really enjoy the nature around - and visit Sigiriya and surroundings.

At the homestay, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Samanthi's homestay felt like a home from home. The room smelt lovely and fresh as soon as you entered. Huge double beds, very clean. Surroundings were amazing. Set in a residential area with neighbours going about their everyday jobs. We had our best night's sleep here. Breakfast was amazing and Samanthi made sure we had a different dish on each day. Great host, amazing room and we would definitely recommend to other people. Thanks Samanthi and family.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The patties were some of the best I’ve ever had. They also served bananas grown on their own farm, called "Naga bananas." I was surprised by their rich, sticky texture. Whenever I asked for help with things I wanted to do or places I wanted to visit, they immediately made arrangements. They were incredibly reliable and helpful. Also, their child was so cute—it was very heartwarming.

As an added convenience, Pidurangala View Treehouse offers packed lunches for guests to bring on excursions and other trips off-property. I loved sleeping in a forest-like environment. I really missed it, and this treehouse was a lovely stay in that regard. The noise/sounds/music from the forest at night is the best. We really enjoyed everything: the treehouse, the view on the rock, the Loris tour at night, the breakfasts/lunches/dinners, and the simple but clean facilities, the safari... Make sure to discuss with the host about the different activities you can do around the rock (time, price, etc.). The host will help you out the best that he can, including dropping you at 5am at the bottom of the rock if necessary! Very kind family, business encouraged, I would come back there 100%.
